During the March 26 game versus the Arizona Coyotes, Mosaic and The Tampa Bay Lightning presented $85,000 to Feeding Tampa Bay and 13 other regional food banks and community partners that are working to end hunger across our communities as part of Mosaic’s support for the Lightning’s “Goals for Food” program. For every Lightning goal made at home during the regular hockey season, Mosaic donates $500 and then $5,000 for every hat trick. So far this season, 139 goals and two hat tricks were made on home ice.

This is the fifth consecutive year Mosaic has supported Goals for Food, and to-date including this season’s donation, approximately $435,000 has been raised to support hunger relief efforts. A food drive was also held before the game to collect canned goods and monetary donations to support Feeding Tampa Bay’s mission to help our neighbors in need. Because of the generous donations of the community, volunteers collected 894 pounds of food and approximately $1,000 to provide 11,315 meals to the one in six people in Central Florida who don’t know where or when they will get their next meal.
