The Krishi Jyoti Project, led by Mosaic, Sehgal Foundation and The Mosaic Foundation, is a partnership in India that focuses on three major pillars: agriculture, water and education.

On the heels of Mosaic India receiving the Bhamashah Award, Rajasthan, a state in northern India, had a significant amount of rainfall. Many regions in India, including Rajasthan, experience scant rain throughout the year, and the Krishi Jyoti Project has helped build check dams, which capture the invaluable rain water for the surrounding rural villages.

The photos below show the check dams from the rains on July 24th.
