"The Center is truly a focal point of our commitment to environmental education and our local communities," said Bo Davis, Mosaic Vice President of Phosphate Operations.  "With its unique location, the Center offers students a memorable experience and teaches them an appreciation for the rich biodiversity found in the Tampa Bay estuary."

The Center has received three previous awards from local, regional and statewide organizations since its launch in December 2005: 1st Place Award in the Public Education category of the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council's Future of the Region Awards in 2006, the Florida Wildlife Federation's Conservation Educator of the Year award in 2007, and the Hillsborough County Planning Commission's Environmental Award of Excellence in 2008.
