Sample Pic The Mosaic Company’s 2012 United Way campaign is here and we are excited to kick off another year of meaningful giving that helps support neighbors in need.

The quality of life for thousands of struggling people will be on the path towards betterment thanks the work of the United Way, its partner agencies and Mosaic employees’ participation in an annual giving campaign. This year’s Mosaic North America United Way campaign runs September 17 through November 2. The 2012 theme—“Sustaining Our Roots”—focuses on Mosaic’s ongoing commitment to invest in and strengthen communities where we live and work as part of our mission to help the world grow the food it needs.

Throughout our company’s six-week campaign, U.S. and Canada employees can contribute to United Way through monetary support, fun fundraising activities, volunteer projects and advocacy opportunities. Past campaigns have drawn the support of three out of four Mosaic North America employees, showing that if we join together with the United Way our strength as a community and social impact goes further than one person could do alone. Our goal this year is to raise $1.7 million, and when matched dollar-for-dollar by The Mosaic Company Foundation, will result in $3.4 million in support for United Way and our local communities.

As the largest charity in the world, United Way offers global reach with local expertise, and addresses the root causes of poverty. Each year, approximately one in six people receive help from United Way and its community partners in the areas of education, income and health.

Our annual support helps ensure United Way can continue to advance the common good by creating opportunities for better lives in our community. Check back throughout the campaign for fundraising updates and Mosaic North America facility stories.
