With a chill in the air and lights aglow—December provides a spirited setting for company-wide volunteer activities, thoughtful giving and acts of kindness. The Mosaic Company is proud to recognize several ways in which our employees made a difference in communities where we work and live this holiday season.

The Mosaic Foundation donated food baskets & Minnesota employees participated in gift drives

The Mosaic Company Foundation’s Emergency Food Network sponsorship provided hungry Minnesota families with 5,300 special “Holiday Baskets of Hope.”

Plymouth, Minn. employees donated more than 60 gifts to seven families through Adopt-a-Family Giving Trees in partnership with Resource, Inc., and gathered more than 50 gifts for the Home Free Battered Women’s Shelter [Pictured].

Savage, Minn. employees collected 20 toys for the Scott County Community Action Partnership Agency, a non-profit organization providing individuals with the assistance needed to achieve social and economic well-being [Pictured].

Mosaic Phosphates shared community spirit and safe holiday tips

To help spread holiday cheer, employees and their families around Florida are joining the holiday celebrations and parades in multiple Florida communities [Pictured]. Additionally, members of the FishHawk F.U.N. Committee helped coordinate a toy drive to support the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree and Stuff-a-Stocking programs. FishHawk employees donated more than 200 gifts for 50 children and filled 25 stockings. And an employee holiday luncheon in FishHawk featured a Mosaic Safety Committee skit that mixed laughter with injury-preventing education [Pictured].

Employees at Mosaic’s Riverview facility also collected 20 toys for Bing Elementary School children in partnership with Alafia offices.

Mosaic in Michigan collects toys for children in the community

Mosaic’s Hersey facility employees collected new, unwrapped toys as part of the local community’s Gift for Kids program. The drive amassed a wide variety of games, arts and crafts and sports equipment for distribution to local families.

Mosaic Potash in New Mexico hosts holiday gift drive to help neighbors in need

Carlsbad, New Mexico, employees donated gifts for an Adopt-a-Family program, and raised an additional $3,600 to help purchase, wrap and deliver holiday presents for deserving families.

Mosaic Potash Canada decorated and auctioned Christmas trees for charity, and collected gifts for local neighbors and food for the hungry

Mosaic’s decorated and auctioned off two trees to raise funds for charity as part of the Regina 22nd annual Festival of Trees and the Moose Jaw 21st annual Festival of Trees. Mosaic’s “A Merry Muppet Christmas” themed tree raised $26,000 for the pediatric ward of Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, while the “Winnie the Pooh” ornament-clad tree garnered $14,000 for the Moose Jaw Health Foundation [Pictured].

In December, more than 40 Belle Plaine and Regina employees volunteered to prep, cook and serve meals at Moose Jaw’s Riverside Mission and Souls Harbour Rescue Mission. An operator at Belle Plaine, Brian Dick, entertained Souls Harbour Rescue Mission patrons with Christmas music played by his brass quintet.

Belle Plaine employees also hosted two events to support local Moose Jaw and Regina food banks. A spirited “Feed the Hungry Food Bank Drive” competition rallied teams to bring in the most non-perishable items [Pictured], while another event— the 10th annual Belle Plaine Pancake Breakfast, raised $1,400 for two local relief organizations.

Esterhazy K1 and K2 potash mine employees also generously filled on-site food hampers to be collected and distributed by local relief organizations to support families in need. The Mosaic Regina corporate office also hosted a gift drive for Regina’s General and Pasqua Hospital Pediatric Units.
