Video: Helping Smallholder Farmers Produce More Food

850 million people around the world went to bed hungry last night. Many of them are smallholder farmers, working with less than two hectares of land. Their soils lack the essential minerals plants need to grow. Without fertilizers, know-how, access to markets or credit, they are caught in an endless cycle of poverty.

For 300,000 smallholder farmers in Guatemala, India, and nine African countries, The Mosaic Villages Project has helped to break that cycle. By partnering with established organizations with local expertise, The Mosaic Villages Project has been helping smallholder famers be more productive since 2008.
