In its first decade, The Mosaic Company and its 8,900 global employees have helped the world grow the food it needs—by mining, manufacturing and delivering nearly 150 million finished phosphate and potash product tonnes to customers and farmers in approximately 40 countries. Throughout October 2014 and the year’s end, Mosaic celebrated its important work through unique facility events featuring sweet treats, meaningful speeches, and group viewings of Mosaic’s 10 Year Celebration Video.

Supporting Neighbors through Community Investment

During the 10 year celebration, Mosaic facilities and offices around the world placed a special focus on giving back to local operating communities. From food shelves to healthcare and youth programs, employees marked Mosaic’s anniversary by providing one-time gifts of $10,000 to local nonprofits. The worldwide donations totaled $370,000.

“With ten years of hard work behind us, we’re just getting started,” said Jim Prokopanko, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Mosaic Company. “This company was and continues to be Built By People and Bound By Purpose. We are grateful for our employees’ service and are encouraged by their steadfast dedication to supporting our communities. I’m confident that together we will continue to achieve high standards as we grow into the second decade.”

Mosaic's Highlights from a Decade of Achievement

Mosaic was formed through the combination of Cargill's crop nutrition unit and IMC Global. The company's first day of trading on the New York Stock Exchange was October 25, 2004.
