The donation will support neighbors in the community affected by recent tornados, including St. James Parish, the home of Mosaic’s Louisiana Operations

The Mosaic Company (NYSE: MOS) announced a $25,000 contribution to the American Red Cross for disaster relief efforts in South Louisiana, specifically St. James Parish. On Tuesday, February 23, 2016, several tornados touched down claiming lives, injuring many, and causing significant damage to several local communities.

Headquartered in Plymouth, Minn., Mosaic supplies crop nutrition products to the global agriculture industry and operates two facilities in St. James Parish, Louisiana. Mosaic’s contribution to the Red Cross will assist with safety and shelter, food and water, emotional support services, and long-term assistance and cleanup efforts.

“St. James Parish is our home, and our thoughts are with our neighbors who’ve been affected by the recent tornados in Louisiana,” said Steven Susick, General Manager of Mosaic’s Louisiana Operations. “With this financial support, Red Cross employees and volunteers will provide basic needs to individuals and families in our community, as well as long-term support as the community recovers from the devastation.”
