This September, Nancy Case, VP of Environment, Health and Safety, represented Mosaic on a panel at the National Safety Council (NSC) Congress and Expo in San Diego.

The NSC Congress & Expo is described as the world’s largest “must attend” event for safety, health and environmental professionals, with more than 10,000 attendees from more than 60 countries.

Mosaic’s presence at this conference says much about our company, showcasing our relentless pursuit of safety and leadership in sustainability efforts. “Through achieving our 2020 EHS Priorities in 2018, Mosaic has grown in many areas,” Renee Price, Director of Corporate EHS Standards, explained. “As a company we now have the opportunity to share our successes with others.”

Nancy’s presentation on the panel went very well, and she received many questions, especially with intrigue about Mosaic’s risk reduction strategy.

Just a couple of weeks prior, Nancy spoke at the Global Phosphate & Compound Fertilizer Industry Development Conference in Beijing. The theme for the conference was sustainability, particularly in environment. Nancy was able to share Mosaic’s sustainability performance and learnings to Chinese phosphate producers who have similar concerns moving forward.

At the end of the day, these conferences are an important way for Mosaic to share best practices, present the company as a leader, but more importantly, recognize there’s nothing proprietary within the EHS world.
