Employee Involvement
Community involvement provides Mosaic employees the opportunity to give back to the communities in which we live and work by donating their time, talents and financial support. As a core value, Mosaic encourages and supports employees' efforts to enrich communities all around the world and highly values our partnerships with local organizations that make a difference.
Employee Volunteerism
Mosaic is proud of its employees and the example they set in the community through their volunteer efforts. Our employees are passionate and quick to lend a hand to those in need — whether mentoring kids, helping struggling families put food on the table, renovating a nonprofit's aging building or picking up the pieces after natural disasters. To further promote a culture of community involvement and civic engagement, Mosaic partners with local nonprofits to sponsor volunteer initiatives and strives to tie community involvement components into our leadership development and employee engagement strategies.
United Way
Around the world, Mosaic employees give generously to their communities United Way is an important community partner in Mosaic's North American operations. Each fall, teams of employee volunteers organize a series of events that focus our employees' attention on their communities through fundraisers, agency tours and volunteer projects. In 2012, 71 percent of eligible North American employees made a pledge to United Way, with an average pledge of $514 per employee. All employee gifts are matched dollar for dollar.
