Community Investment
Where We Give
Mosaic will provide support to organizations that fall within the following three core areas that align with our strategy.
Agriculture and Food
Our mission is to help the world grow the food it needs. We will support programs throughout the world that promote sustainable agriculture and integrated plans to help combat extreme poverty and hunger. Mosaic supports HELPS International and Millenium Promise with donations of fertilizer and financial support to promote sustainable agricultural practices in Guatemala and eight countries in Africa.
Education
We play an active role in supporting education in our communities, with an emphasis on programs that focus on agriculture, food, mining and engineering. By maximizing our support for educational initiatives in these areas, we can meaningfully impact the public at large and invest in our future by training today's students to become tomorrow's employees, customers and advocates. Mosaic supports the National FFA, Hillsborough, Manatee and Polk County Education Foundations, Agriculture in the Classroom in Saskatchewan and Project Fura-bolo, the training of school staffs in Paranagua and Uberaba, Brazil.
Environment, Health and Safety
We will support initiatives that nurture the environment, conserve resources and promote responsible water and environmental management. Another top priority is employee health and safety awareness--in the workplace and at home. Mosaic supports Audubon of Florida, Safe Saskatchewan, the River Clean Up in Pekin, IL and Environment Week in Paranagua, Brazil.
Disaster and Emergency Relief
Aditionally, Mosaic will take appropriate steps to respond to natural disasters or major emergencies that significantly affect our employees, customers or the strategic markets we serve. Donations may be made to charitable relief organizations to provide direct and timely relief. Last year Mosaic provided disaster relief to the Red Cross for the earthquake in China and flooding in the United States Midwest. We also made donations to the Florida Disaster Relief Fund and to the Baton Rouge Area Foundation for hurricane relief in Florida and Louisiana.
